Landing valves (fire valves) are used basically for attachment of hoses with branchpipes in rising mains "dry" and "wet/dry". Valves with position sensor are also installed for example as remote control for filling and emptying station according to DIN 14463 in rising mains "wet/dry".
Safety valves with air-bleeder and non-return valve are for use in drinking water main "wet" according to DIN 1988 part 6, in particular for self-help use.
