The clamp fitting
| 1. | Sturdy circumferential shoulder protects against deformation in case of impact. | |
| 2. | Internal, protected, solid lug. | |
| 3. | Specially constructed coupling strip prevents unintentional opening, forms glide strip for the lug of the mating coupling. | |
| 4. | Stop for the lug of the mating coupling, the lugs are therefore offset by 120° in a four-point support arrangement which prevents the joint from tilting across the lugs. | |
| 5. | Penetration at the end of the coupling strip as a cleaning port if dirt should accumulate underneath the strip. Dirt is pushed by the mating lug to this port when the couplings are connected. | |
| 6. | Recess for engaging the mating lug. | |
| 7. | External ribs increase grip when tightening by hand and are used for applying spanners in the case of the larger couplings. | |
| 8. | Lug spacing. Important: Identical lug spacing means identical nominal diameter of the coupling. Hose couplings, adapters and blank caps with the same lug spacing can be interconnected. It does then not matter if the tail piece diameters of the hose couplings are not the same. |
